Golden Eagles Complete Preparation For Houston
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Golden Eagle football team completed its week of preparation, today, at the Southern Miss practice fields for its Homecoming game against Houston on Saturday at 2 p.m., at M. M. Roberts Stadium.
Southern Miss Head Coach Jeff Bower was happy with the team's efforts this week and felt that the team finished with a good practice today.
"We had a good week of practice and seem to be sharp today," Bower said. "It's great to not only have a Saturday game but an early game. We're happy with the way this week went, and now we need to carry it into the game and play like we have practiced. I think we will."
Bower also believes that the player's intensity level has increased and that they are ready to play the game. "The guys have practiced with a lot of intensity and purpose this week and seem ready to play. I think the guys are anxious to go out and prove they can play better than we have."
A variety of homecoming activities is planned in conjunction with homecoming weekend. Tickets for the game itself remain on sale at the athletic ticket office located in the Ferlise Center or by calling 601/266-5418 or 1-800-844-TICK.
