HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss Athletics announced Thursday the hiring of Jeff Mason as Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation. Mason begins his duties May 16.
"We're thrilled to welcome Jeff and his family to Hattiesburg," stated Spencer Bridges, Deputy Athletic Director. Jeff's proven track record in revenue generation from his time at Central Missouri ensures an impactful contribution to our team."
Mason comes to Southern Miss from Central Missouri, where he served as Associate Athletic Director for External Relations since August of 2023, overseeing the development, athletic communications, creative content, marketing, sponsorship and promotions, ticketing and licensing and trademarks areas for UCM Athletics.
He also served as the sport administrator for the school's men's and women's golf teams as well as its volleyball team.
Mason has been with UCM Athletics since 2013, where he previously served as an Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations before being promoted.

From May 2019 until 2021, he was the Assistant AD for Fundraising at UCM, where he served the university's Alumni Foundation and UCM Athletics as lead fundraiser with major gift solicitation, annual giving, capital campaigns, endowed support, and gift-in-kind acquisitions. He led capitol project portfolio in coordination with Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics with approximately $6 million in projects including baseball stadium expansion, master plan for women's soccer, and wrestling practice facility.
He served as athletic development officer from August 2017 to May 2019 and also served in the role of Athletics Marketing Assistant from June 2015-August 2017.
"My family and I are thrilled to join Southern Miss and the Hattiesburg community," said Mason. "I would like to thank the leadership team for giving me the opportunity to make a difference for the Golden Eagles' student-athletes, coaches, and community. It's a privilege to join USM and I'm eager to get started."
Mason, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, is a 2013 Marketing graduate from UCM and earned his master's degree from there in Sports Management in 2015.
