Southern Miss Announces Pair of Promotions in Athletic Communications Office

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain announced a pair of promotions in the department's communications office with Jack MacDonald being elevated to Assistant Athletic Director and Jack Duggan now holding the title of Associate Athletic Director.
MacDonald was named Director in August of 2021 after working for the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Prior to that, he earned his master's in Sport Management from Southern Miss in 2020 while working as a graduate assistant. He was a 2018 graduate of Iowa State and got his degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. He serves as the primary contact for men's basketball, women's golf, men's tennis and is the secondary football contact.
Duggan, who earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Miss in 1989 and his master's degree in 1991, returned to the University in August of 2006 as an Associate Director. He was promoted to Assistant AD a year later, and currently oversees the office as well as serving as the primary contact for the sports of football, baseball, and men's golf for the University.
