Golden Eagles Picked Fifth in Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Preseason Poll

NEW ORLEANS. --Â The Sun Belt Conference and its eight beach volleyball head coaches have released the results of their preseason poll. Southern Miss is picked to finish fifth in the league and received one first place vote.
"It's always interesting to see how your peers see you stacking up," said head coach Shawn Taylor. "While preseason rankings are great for marketing and to generate discussions, we're more concerned about our whole body of work over the season and our finish at the end of the year. We're still a relatively new program when you compare it to others in the Sun Belt. We'll have to prove we belong and have plenty of opportunities to do that over the course of the season and at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
