New Episode of the Inside Southern Miss Athletics Podcast Debuts

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A new episode of the Inside Southern Miss Athletics podcast, powered by Learfield, premieres Wednesday, August 24.
The free podcast includes the Voice of the Golden Eagles, John Cox, as he conducts various interviews with former and current Southern Miss student-athletes, Athletic Department personnel and other special guests weekly.
On Inside Southern Miss Athletics this week, Cox and Athletic Director Jeremy McClain discuss the start of the athletic year, recent events to help kick-off the football season and preparations for the start of the football season on September 3 against Liberty. Football defensive coordinator and linebacker coach Austin Armstrong talks preseason preparations and The Nasty Bunch defense, while safeties coach Dan O'Brien also talks about the defense and some of the challenges the team will face this season.
