Southern Miss Athletics Announces Promotion in Ticket Office

HATTIESBURG, Miss. –Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jon Gilbert announced Thursday the promotion of Deven Matthews to Director of Ticket Sales.
Matthews, who has been with the department since the summer, earns the promotion after serving as Senior Ticket Sales Executive.
"We are thrilled that Deven has accepted this opportunity of enhanced leadership," said Gilbert. "Deven has demonstrated a commitment to engaging our community with enthusiasm and diligence and we believe he will serve the athletics department well in this new role."
Matthews, a native of St. Martin, Miss., comes to Southern Miss after serving as a Ticket Sales Executive with the Biloxi Shuckers for the previous three seasons. He is a 2013 Southern Miss graduate of the Sport Management program.
