Four Tracksters Garner All-American Honors from USTFCCCA

Tori Bowie, Ganna Demydova and Ke'Airra Jones were named to the first-team while Chastity Riggien garnered second-team honors.
First-team USTFCCCA All-America honors are awarded to those who earn any portion of a team point at the national championships, or reach an eight-entrant final. Second-team All-America honors are handed out to those whose final placing in the national meet range from ninth to 16th place.
Bowie set a school record in the long jump at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships when she posted a distance of 21'9 ½" on her fifth attempt to win her second national championship of the year. In the indoor season, the Sand Hill, Miss., native also won the indoor long jump title.

Jones, competing in the high jump, finished in fourth place after clearing 1.83m (6-0"), matching her school record performance at the Texas Relays. She finished no less than third in any competition this season.
Riggien posted an 11.52 in the 100m dash to earn 13th place and a spot on the All-American second-team. She recorded a school record time of 11.13 at the Texas Relays where she finished sixth.
As a team, the women finished in 10th place at nationals, their highest final ranking in school history.
