Two Golden Eagle Tracksters Advance to NCAA National Championship

Sophomore Tori Bowie started the day posting the top jump in the long jump with a mark of 6.43m (21'1 ¼"), placing first. Sophomore Ke'Airra Jones finished in a tie for ninth in the high jump with a jump of 1.78m (5'10").
Junior Chastity Riggien ran a school record time of 11.31 in the 100 meters in the preliminary round, advancing to the semifinals. The top three in each quarter plus the next three times will advance to the national meet.
Kyle Smith, Marcus Norwood and Suesanna Williams compete in their respective events Friday with Smith in the javelin, Norwood in the high jump and Williams in the hammer. Ashley May will compete in the triple jump on Saturday along with the 4x100-meter relay team that include Riggien, Bowie, May and Tandra Patterson.
