Track to Play Host to Golden Eagle Classic Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will play host to the Golden Eagle Classic Saturday at the Marshall Bell Track and Field Complex. The meet starts at 12 noon for both track and field events.
A pair of special events surrounds the meet. The first includes a special 40-yard dash of several heats featuring current members of the Golden Eagle football team, which is set to take place around 1:15 p.m.
The second event is the program's Centennial Reunion, which will feature expected return appearances from former Golden Eagle track standouts Kenny Glenn, Cornelius Duncan, Donny Young, Hellena Wrappah, Raquel Washington and Jason Wilson.
Student-athletes from Dillard, Louisiana State, Loyola-New Orleans, Southern-New Orleans, Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette are expected to compete.
Admission is free for the event.
