Southern Miss Track to Host Golden Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss track and field squads will host the Golden Classic, this Sat., April 25, at the Southern Miss Track and Field Complex.
Southern Miss will take on Jackson State in the team competition. However, athletes will also participate from Alabama, LSU, Loyola (N.O.), Mississippi State, South Alabama and West Alabama.
"This meet, although small, will be of a very high quality, featuring former Olympians, as well as some of our nationally-ranked athletes," said head coach Kevin Stephen. "This will also be the final home competition for our graduating seniors. With mixed feelings, we say goodbye to the ten that will be graduating. We know they have represented us well and that they are moving on to exciting new lives in the world."
The meet will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the field events. The track events will begin at noon.
