Price Named Southern Miss Student Athlete of the Week

Sherry Price rolled to a 3-0 record at No. 1 singles last week and a 3-1 record at No. 1 doubles. She recorded straight set wins in her first three matches of the week by the scores of 6-0, 6-1 against Leah Rankin (SC); 6-2, 7-5 against Natalia Prinz (WVU); 6-2, 6-1 against H'Ann Johnson (LIU) and was up leading in her fourth match, 6-3, 3-6, 2-0 against Annabelle Bares of Troy, before it was suspended after Troy won its fourth point of the match.

Price and Brittany Serret teamed together to win three of their four doubles' matches, 8-0; 8-6; 8-3 and lost 3-8.

Price has played No. 1 singles all season and has a record of 9-6 in dual match play.
