McInnis Named Southern Miss Student Athlete of the Week

Southern Miss freshman right-hand pitcher Todd McInnis was named Southern Miss Student Athlete of the Week, following his performance against No. 13 Alabama.

McInnis, a true freshman, carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning in a 5-0 win against No. 13 Alabama on March 6, earning his third win in his third collegiate start. In eight innings pitched, he allowed just one single that came with two outs in the eighth. McInnis struck out six and walked four, never putting more than one base runner on an inning, and was lifted after throwing 124 pitches.

McInnis was also name Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the week last week.
