Eubanks Inks Deal With Washington Redskins

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss defensive back/kick returner John Eubanks officially signed a rookie free agent contract with the Washington Redskins of the NFL today.
With his signing, three of Southern Miss' seniors from the 2005 football team have signed with an NFL team, including Tom Johnson with the Indianapolis Colts, Dustin Almond with the Cleveland Browns and Eubanks with the Redskins.
Eubanks concluded his career as a Golden Eagle defensive back with 120 total tackles (87 solo; 33 assists), one sack, 10 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
As a kickoff and punt returner, he finished with 2,321 yards (26.4 avg) with two touchdowns and a long of 97 yards.

Owns the fourth longest kickoff return in school history, and M.M. Roberts Stadium record, with a return of 97 yards against Houston in 2004.
