Southern Miss Golden Eagle basketball player Jeremy Wise has been selected as the Southern Miss Student Athlete of the Week for his performance in the men's home opener against Belhaven this weekend. The 6-2 freshman scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Golden Eagles to a 63-38 victory Saturday night at Reed Green Coliseum. Wise went a perfect 4-for-4 in free throws and collected six defensive rebounds in his first career start.
