Southern Miss Cross Country Team Wins Third Meet
Goodson wins individual title at UNO Invitational |
-- The Southern Miss Lady Eagle cross country team won their third cross country meet, placing six of their top seven runners in the top 10 at the UNO Invitational Saturday with 25 points.
Seniors Cassandra Goodson was the top finisher, finishing first overall with a time of 18:01.77 in the 3K run. Becca Rop and Dijana Kojic finished third and fourth, respectively, with times of 18:33.82 and 18:41.33. Karen Tankersley finished eighth with a time of 19:26.49 and Naomi Kiprotich was ninth with a time of 19:31.26, rounding out the top five finishers. Rachel Nix was 10th with a time of 19:31.29, Alisha Edwards finished 12th overall with a time of 19:43.33. Other Lady Eagle finishers included Jennifer Faulkner with a time of 21:32.85. Jennifer Seal with a time of 22:26.33 and Carley White with a time of 242:19.70.
