Southern Miss Cross Country Team Finishes Eighth at Auburn Invitational

Cassandra Goodson was the top finisher, finishing 10th overall with a time of 18:46.00 in the 5K run. Becca Rop was 39th with a time of 19:54.82, Alisha Edwards was 40th with a time of 19:55.82, Dijana Kojic finished 50th with a time of 20:06.59, Rachel Nix was 69th with a time of 20:30.58, Karen Tankersley was 73 with a time of 20:36.45 and Naomi Kiprotich was 74 with a time of 20:39.71.
Samford?s team placed first in the team standings, with 50 points, followed by Auburn in second place with 78 points, Mississippi State was third (81), Alabama fourth (172), Georgia State fifth (178), South Carolina sixth (183), LSU seventh (183), Southern Miss eighth (203), Tulane ninth (224), UNC-Ashville 10th (253), Texas-Pan American 11th (290), Troy 12th (313), UNO 13th (329), Georgia Tech 14th (424), West Georgia 15th (437), Jacksonville 16th (478), Wisconsin-Lutheran 17th (479), Columbus State 18th (547), Spring Hill 19th (563) and Alabama State 20th (594).
