Southern Miss Postgame Notes- Wyndham New Orleans Bowl
With the 31-10 win, Southern Miss earns its first bowl game victory since winning the GMAC Bowl 28-21 over TCU in 2000.

With the win, Southern Miss improves to 11-4 in the Louisiana Superdome since 1975.
Michael Boley, who was named the 2004 Wyndham New Orleans Bowl MVP, returned a 62-yard interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter against
Boley finished the game with eight tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. With his three tackles for loss tonight, Boley closes out his Southern Miss career with 59.5 tackles for loss, which ranks second in school history. His two sack performance tonight gives him 27 for his career, which also ranks second in school history.
Darren McCaleb missed a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter, snapping his perfect 15-of-15 streak this season, and 20-straight regular season field goals, dating back to the Tulane game (11/15/03) last season. McCaleb added a 45-yard field goal in the second quarter, tying his season high, as he also made a 45-yarder against UAB (11/27). McCaleb missed attempts of 33 and 42 yards in the third quarter, and is now 1-5 in field goal attempts in bowl games. McCaleb also missed a 47-yard field goal in the Liberty Bowl against
Anthony Harris finished the game with 14 carries for 104 yards, marking the second time this season his has ran for over 100 yards, both coming in the Louisiana Superdome. Harris had 118 yards on 21 carries against Tulane (9/25) in the Louisiana Superdome. Harris now has seven 100-yard rushing games in his career, which ties him with Reggie Collier and Bubba Phillips for sixth in school history.
Antwon Courington finished the game with five catches for 57 yards. Courington has now caught a pass in 22-straight games. Courington finished the season with career highs in receptions with 47 and receiving yards with 659.
Sherron Moore scored a one-yard run in the fourth quarter, giving him four rushing touchdowns on the year.
Southern Miss scored 14 points in the first quarter, tying the most it has scored in the first quarter this season. The team also had 14 points against
Senior tight end Otho Graves caught his fourth pass of the season on a 37-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Three of
Dustin Almond tossed a 47-yard pass to Tavarres Williams in the first quarter, marking his longest pass of the season. The previous high came on a 46-yard touchdown pass from Almond to Marvin Young against
Anthony Harris had a 43-yard run in the first quarter, his longest run of the season. Harris? previous high came on a 33-yard run against UAB (11/27). Harris? run also set a New Orleans Bowl record, breaking the previous high of 35 yards by North Texas? Patrick Cobbs in 2003 and
Trevis Coley recorded his fourth interception of the season in the fourth quarter, which is a team-high. Coley now has seven career interceptions.
Freshman Tavarres Williams returned two punts for the first time in his career tonight, finishing with 10 yards.
Harris had a 37-yard kickoff return tonight, the longest of his career.
Southern Miss finished with 403 yards of total offense, marking the second time this season the team has gained over 400 yards of total offense. The team also had 461 against Tulane (9/25).
