Football Completes Spring with Spirited Scrimmage
3/27/2021
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss had its most exciting day on the 2021 gridiron yet, finishing its 15-practice spring session with a spirited two hours of individual and team drills.
The best moment of the day was first-year head coach Will Hall having the entire squad wave to the crowd, which generated a roar symbolic of the Black and Gold optimism and Hall's mantra, “attitude is everything.”
The student-athletes now get to enjoy four months to focus on school, conditioning and weights before the fall camp grind gets underway. Southern Miss begins its season Saturday, Sept. 4 at South Alabama.
Hall and three of his players (quarterback Trey Lowe, running back Frank Gore Jr. and defensive end Jacques Turner) met with the media in the north endzone following Saturday morning's thrills.
